We hope university will be one of the best experiences of your life! But, we also know it has its ups and downs, and it can be tough. In case you do have any issues, the Union’s Advice Service is here to help.

If your health and wellbeing isn't in tip-top shape it can affect your academic life. The Union's Advice Service can offer advice and direct you to services relating to your health and wellbeing, including mental health, sexual health, alcohol and drugs, and social/personal issues.

Sexual Health and Relationships
Relationships can be difficult and have their ups and downs, especially when you’re away from home. We can support you with a range of advice, guidance and information relating to your sexual health and relationships.
We have free condoms available, pop into our reception in Gun House to pick up a pack.

The University Surgery has a Sexual Health & Contraception Clinic that is open every Tuesday between 09:00am to 12:30pm. This booked appointment clinic is available to University Surgery registered patients only.

Alcohol and Drugs
We understand that alcohol is a big part of the University lifestyle and it is important to be aware that you can make better choices while drinking to ensure your own safety.
Drugs can also be an issue for many as addictions can easily get out of control.
If you feel that drugs and alcohol are becoming a problem for you or a friend, please have a look at these online resources.
