UPEC - Equestrian Club hasn’t been horsing around!
Take a look at all the exciting things UPEC have been up to since the start of the year!
The University of Portsmouth Equestrian Club has been busy since September - look at all the fab things they've been up to!
18th September - Freshers' Fayre
At Freshers' Fayre, UPEC offered the chance to take part in their charity horseshoe hoopla, where students could win prizes that we had been donated from local businesses such as: The Gym, Tony Wood Hair, Birdworld, Blue Reef Aquarium, No.6 cinema and more! This was to raise money for the RDA (Riding for the Disabled Association) where they are currently volunteering from 1.45pm - 4.45pm on Thursdays. They were also invited to local horse shows as the event photographers where they sell the photos after the show to raise money for the RDA!
21st September - Great British beach clean up & United Nations International Day of Peace celebration
On this date, UPEC had two volunteering events set up!
One was helping to clear the beaches in Southsea of litter in a Beach Clean!
The other running a stall at Southsea Fire Station as part of a community event where they put together a presentation about horses from around the world and continued raising money through our Horseshoe Hoopla for the RDA.
2nd October - Cake sale
UPEC held a cake sale at Sparsholt Equestrian Centre where each committee member contributed something to sell to raise money for the RDA - yum!
5th October - Trip to the races
UPEC attended the student races held at Fontwell Racecourse where we had a fab day out with some of their new members and committee!

9th November - Your Horse Live
On the 9th of November, UPEC are organising a sober social to Your Horse Live at Stoneleigh Park for all members and non-members to attend if interested!
