The new Ravelin Sports Centre is well underway. Check out the new seagull's view of the new facility.

The new Ravelin Sports Centre at the University of Portsmouth is well underway and set to open next year as the building continues! Check out this seagull's view of the new outstanding facility that's making its mark on Portsmouth's cityscape. The steel frame has progressed to the wet changing area, The sports hall roof and floor is being installed and diggers are busy installing drainage. 

Ravelin Sports Centre is open to everyone, with superb facilities including an eight lane 25m swimming pool, 175 station fitness suite, sports hall, climbing wall, squash courts and ski simulator. The 11,000 square meter site's green features include a community urban orchard, green roof with solar panels, internal heat recovery systems and a biodiverse wildflower amphitheatre.

BREEAM, the world's leading sustainability assessment for buildings has also rated Ravelin Sports Centre "Outstanding" and the project was a winner at the BREEAM 2020 Awards.
