Function Manager - Marketing & Brand

We are looking for a creative and driven individual with an eye for detail and a passion for storytelling, communications and branding
The Post:
- The Marketing & Brand Function Manager will have operational responsibility for leading the team responsible for the marketing, communications and brand of the Union to drive effective membership relations.
- Their work will facilitate the Unions ability to communicate our strategic aims, priorities and impacts and ensure that we are effectively communicating the student voice to all stakeholders.
- They will be responsible for maintaining the Union’s brand, ensuring all staff in the organisation follow brand guidelines and that the Unions image is managed reputationally.
- The post-holder will develop critical partnerships and identify collaborative opportunities with key contacts.
The Person:
- Experience of leading marketing projects and have the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities.
- Highly competent in marketing, branding and have the ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders including students, academic staff and external partners.
- Strong communicator, both verbally and written, with the ability to work with a wide range of audiences.
- Experience of managing staff to achieve departmental goals and will work with the Head of Marketing & Engagement, in the development of the function.

As a charity led by its values and guided by its members, we offer a wide range of services and activities to support and enrich the lives of our students. UPSU employs approximately 35 career staff, a further 100 student staff and we work with over 1000 registered student volunteers and over 100 student groups.
