Event Technician (Student Role Only)
Job Reference: UPSU22193
Remuneration: £10.90 per hour
Term: Fixed Term until July 2024
Closing Date: Midday, 26th September 2023
Interview Date: 4th October 2023
We are looking for a student to support student and Union wide events throughout the year in the Union. You will be required to set up light, sound and staging rigs with the support of other team members and proactively support and train others in events operations. This role is ad hoc throughout the year supporting all major Union events and key student and University events in for example, Third Space and Ravelin Park.
Skills you’ll need:
- Experience / general interest in event production, sound and/or lighting or other backstage work
- A willingness to learn new skills
- Ability to work in a team, but also on their own initiative.
- Ability to remain calm and friendly under pressure in a busy environment.
- Strong communication skills and be able to provide excellence in customer care offering a memorable experience at all times.
- Please note, you must be a student for the academic year 23/24
