Networks

Introduction to Networks

After student feedback last year, we worked hard to develop an answer to concerns of underrepresentation in the student experience and have created seven Student Networks in the following areas:

Supported by Vice President (Education and Democracy), Rama Hilouneh

  • Distance Learners Network

Supported by by Vice President (Welfare and Community), Hayley Turner-McIntyre

  • Global Students Network

Supported by President, Helena Schofield

  • Mature Students Network

Supported by Vice President (Activities), Tom Plant

  • Network without Portfolio

Supported by President, Helena Schofield

  • Part Time Network

Supported by Vice President (Sports), Gez Matthews

  • Postgraduate Network

Supported by Vice President (Education and Democracy), Rama Hilouneh

These new Networks will work to create a community in previously underrepresented areas of the student population and become key to making a change in your academic journey.

Our Student Networks will work to enhance diversity on campus, improve student participation, lead and drive student campaigns and provide a crucial student voice in UPSU decision making.

If you’re interested in getting involved please get in touch with the sabbatical officer that is assigned to support the network, and they will be able to signpost you to meetings and events within each network. Alternatively, you can fill in this form in order to register your interest and a network supporter will be in touch with you.
