How Will This Idea Benefit Students?

Push-pull printing is a great facility to have, and especially with the option to use PaperCut for remote printing, things are even more brilliant. However, the effectiveness of this is lessened when the actual printers are not as accessible as they could be. For example, there are a large number of printers in the library but they are all huddled in one place - how much more efficient would it be if there was at least a couple of printers on each floor? Additionally, there are areas like the cafe in Anglesea building that have computers, but the print room is all the way on the other side of the building - it would be fantastic if there was a printer on the way so that a student rushing to a lecture can print their lecture slides out, as they pass. The same principle can be applied to all university buildings. Portland could do with some on the ground floor, as could Richmond. Denis Sciama would certainly benefit from printers in/around the hub. The SU building would really benefit from a printer, as the nearest printers there are in the library, past the barriers - in fact, the library could benefit from having quick access printers before the barriers.
