WHO ARE WE?
Your Student Council
Student Council is the primary student-led decision-making body at University of Portsmouth Students' Union (UPSU). Our Student Councillors, together with our Elected Officers, work together to tackle issues and run campaigns which affect all parts of student life, from your course to the wider University experience.
Our Student Council is made up of a group of elected student representatives including the 4 Elected Officers, Faculty Reps, and Network Chairs.
The Student Council will meet approximately every four weeks during the academic year.
Elected Officers
Your elected student leaders are part of Student Council and represent students across a range of issues.
Our Elected Officers are chosen by you in our Officer Elections which take part once a year. They Represent you in different aspects of Student life and work to ensure you have a voice. They lead student council but are also accountable to council and you - our students. If you want to find out more about them or what they have been up to, click on their individual profiles below.
Union Chair
Helping Student Council work effectively and ensuring every voice is heard.
Our Student Council Chair (Union Chair) ensures that Student Council runs smoothly and that all voices within Council are heard.
