Why should people who want to drink soft drinks pay more than those who are drinking alcohol?

How Will This Idea Benefit Students?

When going out to events aimed at students, I get very frustrated as someone who doesn't drink alcohol at paying over £2 for a glass of coke when someone can buy a pint of snakebite for less or a vodka and coke or a jagerbomb for example.
