Skills Development Fayre - Take Opportunities and Stand Out

At our Development Fayre we want to showcase to you how you can best grow your skills to help with your next steps!

We'll also be joined by Careers & Employability, to help you with the skills you're building by getting involved at University, and unveiling your Learning Experience Officer Jade's 7 Steps to Success programme!

At UPSU, we want to help you build your skills in different ways, by putting on events and opportunities for you throughout the year, so our Development Fayre will be an introduction to that! Join us to get involved with:

• Splat & Chat (20 min painting class) - Taking place throughout the day, Splat & Chat are a local paint class, where you can do a step by step acrylic painting. Even for beginners or people who don't consider themselves creative, you'll be coached step by step to create something amazing! Skills you'll build: communication, creativity, active listening, self management skills 
• Portsmouth Improv Experience (PIE) are running a pop up session to help you with your confidence, reactivity & communication through the use of games and thinking on your feet. Think a fast-paced version of Whose Line Is It Anyway? just for you! Skills you'll build: communication, reactivity, adaptability, confidence
• A classic icebreaker activity, that helps you get to know people better, as well as demonstrating the benefits of planning and thinking things through - plus it's just good fun! Skills you'll build: practical thinking, problem solving, preparation
