Here To Support You

We hope university will be one of the best experiences of your life! But, we also know it has its ups and downs, and it can be tough. In case you do have any issues, the Union’s Advice Service is here to help.

Here at the Advice Service, we offer confidential, impartial and non-judgemental support. We deliver advice and guidance on a range of academic and university issues that may affect your experience. This means helping students understand university policies and procedures as well as supporting students in university meetings.

Our team of trained Staff and Peer Advisors are on hand all year round to offer help if it's needed. The independent service works closely with the University of Portsmouth to resolve issues and ensure students are treated fairly.

Your advisor will ask you about your situation and talk you through how to proceed and outline some steps you can take. The adviser will explore the options available to you, but any decisions made are yours so you are empowered to make the choices you feel suit you best, within the universities processes.

Please complete our online request form here. We can then allocate you to an Adviser. We are open from 10am - 4pm Monday - Friday.

You can call us on 02392843478. Alternatively, you can also find the service on campus - we're in Gun House at The Union, next door to Cafe Coco.
