We are looking for an enthusiastic student to join our casual staff team!

Please note this position starts in June 2025, and applicants are asked to be available throughout July to support graduation.

The post-holders will help to administer the daily functions of the Union Shop and Reception, providing support to the Union Retail and Reception Supervisor.

The Union Shop and Reception is the first point of contact students and visitors have with the Students’ Union. It is vital that we give an excellent first impression that reflects the Union’s values and services, and welcomes students into the building. The purpose of this post is to be responsible for providing a high-quality, customer-focused information service whilst also supporting the retail offering within the same environment.

The Organisation

UPSU employs approximately 30 career staff, a further 50 student staff and we work with over 1000 registered student volunteers and over 100 student groups.
