At UPSU's Advice Service, we offer confidential, impartial and non-judgemental support on a range of academic and university issues that may affect your experience. Our team of trained advisers are on hand all year round to offer help where it's needed. The independent service works closely with the University of Portsmouth to resolve issues and ensure students are treated fairly.

The Portsmouth Award
What is the Portsmouth Award?
The Portsmouth Award is an online programme designed to help you reflect on skills you develop through extra-curricular activities, explore career options, and increase your confidence to apply for opportunities. The Award is open to all students studying at the University of Portsmouth.
Sign-up for the Award programme by enrolling on the dedicated Moodle site here.
Once you complete the Award you will receive a digital certificate in recognition of your achievements.
Why Complete the Award?
- Work through the programme at your own pace and seek further support from the Careers and Employability Service at any point.
- Gain confidence in presenting your value to employers. This will include increased clarity on the skills, strengths and values you can offer, and the relevance of your work experience.
- Build confidence in how to research different sectors, employers and opportunities to consider the best fit for you.
- Increase your understanding of what graduate employers are looking for through their recruitment processes and gain confidence in your ability to navigate those processes.
