The Post
The University of Portsmouth Students’ Union is a vibrant, forward thinking organisation with a vision of ‘Delivering a Positive Impact with every Portsmouth student’. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Student Opportunities Function.
The post will involve managing competing priorities and projects, communication with a wide range of audiences and a commitment to driving forward excellence within all aspects of Student Groups delivery. They will be passionate and committed to creating opportunities for Student Group members and committees to develop their social capital. The post holder will maintain high standards of customer care and adhere to the Union’s policies and procedures.
The Person
The post-holder will be knowledgeable about student activities and current issues in the local and wider national student community. They will have experience in managing budgets and working to strict financial processes whilst maintaining control over all student activity within their remit. They will be able to communicate and support diverse groups with a ‘customer service’-esque approach and high level of professionalism. They will be experienced in managing diverse groups of students and in organising events to promote engagement, participation and development of students in the offered activities.
