See who is in the running for your vote! Voting opens at 9am on Monday 3rd March!

Voting week is just around the corner. It's your chance to decide who will be the next four students to lead the Students Union and be crucial decision makers on the students behalf.
Using your vote is so very important to make sure that the student body vote in an Elected Officer team that is going to represent them at the highest level and make positive change to the student experience.
This year, we’ve restructured our Elected Officer roles following a comprehensive Democracy Review. The changes aim to streamline the officer team, ensuring each role is more focused and impactful. By reducing the number of elected officers to four, we can provide clearer responsibilities, better support, and a stronger connection between the Elected Officers and the wider student body.
The role names have been updated to better reflect their purpose and responsibilities, making it clearer to students what each Officer focuses on. This change also aligns with the feedback from the democracy review, ensuring that the officer roles are more inclusive and representative of the diverse needs and interests of our student body.
Below are your candidates for the 2025/26 student elections. We will be launching their manifestos and what they want to achieve for you later today! So keep an eye on our website and socials!
Please note: every position has a 'No Suitable Candidate' option. Having a 'No Suitable Candidate' option ensures genuine representation by allowing voters to reject unfit candidates. It promotes democratic values, encourages stronger candidates, and prevents unqualified leadership from winning by default.
For our Student Elections we use a system known as Transferable Voting. You can find out more about the system here.
And be ready to use your vote at 9am on Monday 3rd March until 1pm Thursday 6th March!
