What's On

At UPSU's Advice Service, we offer confidential, impartial and non-judgemental support on a range of academic and university issues that may affect your experience. Our team of trained advisers are on hand all year round to offer help where it's needed. The independent service works closely with the University of Portsmouth to resolve issues and ensure students are treated fairly.

UPSU are here to represent every student at the University of Portsmouth. We have many ways you can express your student voice, including: our Course Rep system, Have Your Say, Student Council, StART, Hot Topic, Annual Survey, Focus Groups, and more! Student Groups are a great development opportunity and a great place to find new friends, build a community and have a sense of belonging whilst at University!

Ravelin Sports Centre Update

The new Ravelin Sports Centre at the University of Portsmouth is well underway and set to open next year as the building continues! Check out this seagull's view of the new outstanding facility that's making its mark on Portsmouth's cityscape. The steel frame has progressed to the wet changing area, The sports hall roof and floor are being installed and diggers are busy installing drainage.

Ravelin Sports Centre is open to everyone, with superb facilities including an eight-lane 25m swimming pool, 175 station fitness suite, sports hall, climbing wall, squash courts and ski simulator. The 11,000 square meter site's green features include a community urban orchard, green roof with solar panels, internal heat recovery systems and a biodiverse wildflower amphitheatre.

BREEAM, the world's leading sustainability assessment for buildings has also rated Ravelin Sports Centre "Outstanding" and the project was a winner at the BREEAM 2020 Awards.
