Student Centre Building Update

Due to unforeseen circumstances the new Student Hub build will not begin until Jan 2026 at the earliest. This means the current Student Centre (the Students' Union Building) will remain open until Christmas.

So, what does this mean for you?

The current Student Centre will remain open for students to use - Student Groups’ room bookings and equipment storage will not be impacted as the Student Centre is fully accessible as always.

Please book the Student Centre spaces and contact the relevant Union services as usual. If anything changes, we’ll let you know. If you have any questions or need help with bookings, just pop us an email at hello@upsu.net!

Freshers' and Graduation Update

Both the Student Centre and Gun House Green will be available for Graduation and Freshers’ Fayre – so we’ll be ready to celebrate and welcome back returning students and new students in September.

Union Staff

UPSU staff and services will be moving back into Gun House over the summer and will continue to be available in the Student Centre to support students.

Advice

The Advice Service will continue to in the building where they are currently located - right at the front of the Student Centre. Not sure where they are? Check out the map below or pop into the Union Reception and someone will point you in the right direction.
