At UPSU's Advice Service, we offer confidential, impartial and non-judgemental support on a range of academic and university issues that may affect your experience. Our team of trained advisers are on hand all year round to offer help where it's needed. The independent service works closely with the University of Portsmouth to resolve issues and ensure students are treated fairly.

Join your Students' Union in celebrating inclusivity, culture and the LGBTQ+ community as we bring back 2020's Pride Night, bigger and better! Everyone is welcome!
Join us at the Union for the very first LGBTQ+ Ball! Spread a little sparkle and discover hidden talents with showcase performances throughout the night.
With your host Charlotte Street, DJ set from The Fabulous Josh and a performance from our Cuban Salsa society, you know the night is going to be sickening!
Paris is burning, so 'get off the floor. Learn it, and learn it well!'
Dress to impress and get ready to strut the catwalk*! Dress up or dress down, we want you to be your most authentic self! There will be prizes for the best dressed!
There will be a pop-up bar, face-painting and photobooth to capture all those magical moments!
Tickets will remain on sale until doors open at 7pm with the event start at 7:30pm. Please be advised that due to capacity, those without a pre-booked ticket may be refused entry or may have to queue. Tickets are non-refundable which enables us to provide additional activities like face painting for free after entry.

Event Running Order and Things to Note:
- There will be performances from our host, the amazing local artist, Charlotte Street throughout the event with opportunities for meet and greets and photographs with her. These will be around 7:30pm, 8pm, and 9:45pm.
- Amongst these performances, you'll get to mingle with other students, and dance to our exclusive queer DJ set provided by DJs from Unmade Radio, including The Fabulous Josh.
- At 9pm you'll get the opportunity to take part in a traditional drag-style ball. Prance, dance, and vouge on our catwalk and you could win one of our three prizes! Dress to impress, dress up or dress down, we want you to be your most authentic self!
- At 10:15pm for 45 minutes, our very own University of Portsmouth Cuban Salsa Society will be delivering an interactive session to get you up and dancing before a final full hour of independent boogie.
- There will be a bar at this event with the option to purchase alcoholic drinks. As such you are required to bring some form of photo ID to gain entry. No ID means no entry. For those who feel more comfortable using them, security will be accepting Citizenship Cards as formal photo ID. Last orders will be 11:30pm with the event's close at midnight.
- Anyone attending as a plus one, must do so with a current University of Portsmouth student or staff member. The attending student and/or staff member will be liable for the behaviour of their plus one.
- Should you wish to cancel your ticket, we will only accept refunds up until the day of the event.
- We recommend travelling via cab or public transport as there is limited paid parking available.
