At UPSU's Advice Service, we offer confidential, impartial and non-judgemental support on a range of academic and university issues that may affect your experience. Our team of trained advisers are on hand all year round to offer help where it's needed. The independent service works closely with the University of Portsmouth to resolve issues and ensure students are treated fairly.

Come and hear from Duke Harrison-Hunter, an experienced speaker that aims to deliver knowledge, inspiration, and entertainment.
"The talk will look at my past behaviours/journey/rock bottoms and testimony. Touching on how I managed to turn it around using the services and being where I am today. Resilience and commitment got me through."
Duke Harrison-Hunter is a former gang member who hit rock bottom and then against all odds turned his life around and has now helped more than 150 young people through the BIG Mentoring Project. He was the 2020 Football Blacklist Award Winner and has featured on BBC Inside Out, BBC South Today, BBC Radio Solent and Radio 4
A truly inspirational and empowering individual, this is a talk you won't want to miss!
