At UPSU's Advice Service, we offer confidential, impartial and non-judgemental support on a range of academic and university issues that may affect your experience. Our team of trained advisers are on hand all year round to offer help where it's needed. The independent service works closely with the University of Portsmouth to resolve issues and ensure students are treated fairly.

FREE* Emergency First Aid at Work Course

We’re offering students the chance to gain a Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work qualification through a fully accredited one-day course completely free, *with a refundable deposit to secure your place.
This practical, hands-on training is ideal if you want to build confidence, boost your CV, or gain a nationally recognised qualification that’s valid for three years.
Course details:
Qualification: Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF)
Date: 20 February 2026
Time: 9.30am – 4pm
Location: University of Portsmouth Students’ Union, Cambridge Road (Room TBC)
Maximum of 12 students per course
What’s included:
- Ofqual-accredited e-certificate
- First aid training manual
- Expert-led, in-person training
Places are limited, so booking early is recommended. Secure your spot with a refundable deposit and gain a valuable qualification at no cost to you. The final deadline to cancel and receive a refund without attending is 12pm on Friday 13 February.
