Manifesto

Firstly, I would like to thank you all, as I have really enjoyed my time as part of the society, and it has been so much fun. Joining the society has allowed me to find something I truly enjoy and want to improve at.

If I became Social Sec, the first thing I would like to implement is an advanced schedule for socials. Each month, the socials will be posted on the powerlifting Instagram and in the chat so everyone knows what’s happening. This will give people more notice to plan outfits and get costumes sorted.

Secondly, I would like to give members a bigger say in what socials we do. While my partner and I would still plan most, I want to include some member-chosen socials to bring more variety. This would also help boost engagement and attendance, which I think could be improved.

Finally, I want to increase overall attendance by organizing new and unique socials that haven’t been done before. I’d also like to arrange more joint socials with other societies, as it’s a great way to meet new people and bring in more attendees.

I believe these changes will make socials more exciting and enjoyable for everyone, and I’d love the chance to make it happen! 💪

everyone in the powerlifting society is aware how i take too many pictures and i believe that it would benefit massively towards to society as i would use my creativity and love for taking pictures to enhance our social media and keep our members engaged and also recognised on our page. i will ensure that the social media page shows off the achievements of the society and also the training of our members. Not only that but i will use the platform to motivate others to join our society and promote our committee as well as our lifters.

My manifesto for the role of media secretary/social secretary
I've been lifting since I was fifteen years old, and I'm a first-year student studying fashion marketing. I've been a member of the Powerlifting Society for a year, and I'm thrilled to apply for the positions of Social Secretary and Media Secretary because I think my background and abilities would be very helpful to the organisation.

My Vision and Objectives
In my role as social secretary, I want to increase participation by planning fun activities, making sure that every vote counts, and fostering a more welcoming and lively community.

By creating captivating content, such as interactive films, training highlights, and social night elements like games and challenges, I hope to elevate the society's visibility in my role as media secretary.
