At UPSU's Advice Service, we offer confidential, impartial and non-judgemental support on a range of academic and university issues that may affect your experience. Our team of trained advisers are on hand all year round to offer help where it's needed. The independent service works closely with the University of Portsmouth to resolve issues and ensure students are treated fairly.

UPSU are here to represent every student at the University of Portsmouth. We have many ways you can express your student voice, including: our Course Rep system, Have Your Say, Student Council, StART, Hot Topic, Annual Survey, Focus Groups, and more! Student Groups are a great development opportunity and a great place to find new friends, build a community and have a sense of belonging whilst at University!

It's time for the biggest event of the year for students outside of Graduation...

Freshers Fayre '25

Join us at The Union on Gun House Green and Ravelin Sports Centre for 2 days of jam packed activity. This is the place to be on 23rd and 24th September 2025. You'll find everything you need in one place to start your time here at Portsmouth, from clubs and groups, your Elected Officers, University services, community opportunities and business, not to mention the free pizza courtesy of Dominos as well as the friendly and helpful faces of the Union staff team. You can also find sports clubs in Ravelin Sports Centre!

Our event will feature numerous other food and drinks vendors as well as plenty of other opportunities to engage with, check back soon to see our confirmed vendors!

The event is FREE to attend and each day of the fayre will be different - you can attend as many times as you like!
