Hello and welcome - all chess players - to the Chess Society!

What is our society about?

Of course it's about Chess! But more specifically, we would like to attract more attention to Chess, teach beginners and help them improve, and finally play some games over the board!

Who is it for?

Absolutely anyone with any interest in Chess! We encourage anyone from beginners who have never touched a Chess piece, to top tier pros looking for some fun, to join our society!

When and where are our meetings?*

Dates/times and location are currently to be determined.

Future plans:

We are a new society, but as we grow, we are planning some cool events ranging from (but not limited to):

• Learning from the best (e.g. masterclass)
• Watching World Championship series (and analysing them if interested)

and

• Playing in actual tournaments ourselves (e.g. against other Unis, or maybe even national competitions)

*We currently will only have a few boards, but feel free to bring your own if you'd like! If you wish to play timed games, there are phone apps (or you can bring your own clock if you have one).
