Should CCI students have necessary programs funded?

The uni has recently decided to stop funding Adobe licenses for cci students. Adobe programs are expensive and are, in the modern era, completely necessary for these students to learn the skills that we need to succeed post grad. The university could argue that they accept submissions that aren’t made using Adobe, but (in my experience) have only given tutorials on how to use Adobe software and no other softwares. Third year students don’t have time to learn new software and given that the industry standard is Adobe, learning a new software would be useless to our future careers. The graphic design studio has no where near enough computers with Adobe installed to provide acceptable access to its students, and so those who are not fortunate enough to afford their own computers will lose out on the university provided ones. The uni has spent millions on a sports centre to increase admissions but has only afforded this at the cost of the education of current students. Education is becoming more and more for the lucky few and any future culture that we can hope to develop is being obliterated by cuts to creative subjects.
