Support Bangladeshi Student

We urge our Student Union to support the students of Bangladesh who are peacefully protesting for fairer quota reforms in public services. Currently, 56% of public service jobs are reserved, leaving only 44% for general students. Recently, protests have been met with violence from the police and Chhatra League members, resulting in deaths and injuries. The situation has worsened with the deployment of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in Dhaka. We call on our Student Union to show solidarity with Bangladeshi students to help draw international attention to their cause and pressure the Bangladeshi government to stop the violence and engage in meaningful dialogue.

How Will This Idea Benefit Students?

Supporting Bangladeshi students will benefit our student body by raising awareness about their struggle for fair treatment and justice. It demonstrates global solidarity, showing that students around the world stand together. Our support can also encourage the Bangladeshi government to engage in meaningful dialogue with the protesting students, potentially leading to peaceful resolutions and reforms. By backing this cause, we promote the importance of human rights and the right to peaceful protest. Additionally, standing up for others can inspire our own students to take action on important issues, fostering a culture of activism and involvement in our community.

How Can The Union Achieve This?

Union can achieve it by media engagement, public statement, petition or doing event and rallies.
