At UPSU's Advice Service, we offer confidential, impartial and non-judgemental support on a range of academic and university issues that may affect your experience. Our team of trained advisers are on hand all year round to offer help where it's needed. The independent service works closely with the University of Portsmouth to resolve issues and ensure students are treated fairly.

UPSU are here to represent every student at the University of Portsmouth. We have many ways you can express your student voice, including: our Course Rep system, Have Your Say, Student Council, StART, Hot Topic, Annual Survey, Focus Groups, and more! To bring back free access for CCI student to access the Adobe creative cloud off campus.

This petition has been passed and will be actioned ASAP.

How Will This Idea Benefit Students?

It will allow student to access the software when needed off campus and will help resolve the issue of students losing their work through the VPN as it can be an unreliable source with crashing between sessions. Especially with part time students that are unable to easily get to campus.

How Can The Union Achieve This?

This was something that was previously implemented and has just been stopped. The Student just want it to be reactivated.

Discussions with CCI faculty members

Jan 9, 2023

The assigned elected officer Ayoola Johnson has been working with members of the CCI faculty to see how this can be achieved. It was discussed that due to cost restrictions it will be quite challenging to have the programme available for all students in the faculty immediately.
Student Council has been discussing whether they could at least provide this service for vulnerable students who may be especially struggling with this.
More information will be provided later on.
