How Will This Idea Benefit Students?
It will allow student to access the software when needed off campus and will help resolve the issue of students losing their work through the VPN as it can be an unreliable source with crashing between sessions. Especially with part time students that are unable to easily get to campus.
How Can The Union Achieve This?
This was something that was previously implemented and has just been stopped. The Student just want it to be reactivated.

Discussions with CCI faculty members
The assigned elected officer Ayoola Johnson has been working with members of the CCI faculty to see how this can be achieved. It was discussed that due to cost restrictions it will be quite challenging to have the programme available for all students in the faculty immediately.
Student Council has been discussing whether they could at least provide this service for vulnerable students who may be especially struggling with this.
More information will be provided later on.

The petition was discussed at the student council meeting on the 21/10/2022. The motion passed through student council with 5 approvals, 1 rejection and 3 suspensions. This HYS was assigned to Elected Officer Ayoola Johnson and he will be following up with CCI faculty members to explore the possibility of implementing the suggestions.
