Langstone lights to be turned off at 5 past 10 to allow students to finish training sessions
The langstone flood lights are always turned off at 10pm on the dot each week. This does not allow students time to finish their sessions and collect their things together and safely leave the pitches

How Will This Idea Benefit Students?
Turning off the flood lights at exactly 10PM doesn't give students enough time to find their things at the end of session, it becomes pitch black by this time so students and coaches spend a lot of time at the end trying to find everything in the freezing cold and pitch black. I also think this is very unsafe and should be against health and safety policy considering people cannot really see where they are going, we have had multiple trips or falls from not being able to see and these could potentially become dangerous. Leaving the flood lights on for an extra five minutes at the end will allow enough time for all of the equipment and personal belongings to be retrieved and for students to leave the pitches safely while being able to see where they are walking; hopefully preventing any further injuries or incidents.
