Quadball Taster Session
-
Friday 29th Sep 10:00 - Friday 29th Sep 12:00
- £0.00 (External Site)
- Gunhouse Green, Cambridge Rd, Portsmouth PO1 2EF
Come on down to Gunhouse Green (The green outdoor area behind the Students' Union building) to try out this fast-paced, mixed gender and gender inclusive, "handball-meets-dodgeball" sport!
Quadball (formerly quidditch) has multiple different on pitch positions including roles that resemble handball, rugby, dodgeball and even wrestling! This means that there's something for everyone. Quadball is very popular at universities but played sparsely elsewhere. This means that everyone comes in on a level playing field making it great for people who are looking to get into sport for the first time or for existing sports players looking for a new challenge
This session will be delivered by Portsmouth Alumni and local Quadball coaches Jack and Jaelithe with support from the local Southsea Quadball team as well as the University of Southampton Quadball Club. Equipment will be provided; all you need to bring is yourself, clothes you can move in and a bottle of water.
Tickets are Free. Please wear appropriate sports clothing (a t-shirt and shorts you don't mind getting dirty is fine) and footwear.
