What's On

At UPSU's Advice Service, we offer confidential, impartial and non-judgemental support on a range of academic and university issues that may affect your experience. Our team of trained advisers are on hand all year round to offer help where it's needed. The independent service works closely with the University of Portsmouth to resolve issues and ensure students are treated fairly.

UPSU are here to represent every student at the University of Portsmouth. We have many ways you can express your student voice, including: our Course Rep system, Have Your Say, Student Council, StART, Hot Topic, Annual Survey, Focus Groups, and more! About Construction Society

Join UoP Construction Society for 2025–26

Membership is completely free, and you can get involved as much or as little as you like.

We run a mix of socials, industry events, and skills sessions, so there’s something for everyone. Whether you’re looking to meet new friends, get ahead in your career, or see how what you’re learning in lectures applies in the real world, this is the place to do it.

What we do:

Industry events – Monthly site visits and guest talks let you explore projects first-hand, hear from professionals, and learn more about placements and graduate opportunities.
Socials – Weekly themed Wednesday nights plus fortnightly casual socials like Play Zone trips, pub quizzes, and bowling.
Upskilling – Networking events, LinkedIn training, and other opportunities to strengthen your CV and boost your confidence for the workplace.
