What's On

At UPSU's Advice Service, we offer confidential, impartial and non-judgemental support on a range of academic and university issues that may affect your experience. Our team of trained advisers are on hand all year round to offer help where it's needed. The independent service works closely with the University of Portsmouth to resolve issues and ensure students are treated fairly.

UPSU are here to represent every student at the University of Portsmouth. We have many ways you can express your student voice, including: our Course Rep system, Have Your Say, Student Council, StART, Hot Topic, Annual Survey, Focus Groups, and more! Who is an Opportunities Officer?

Hi! I’m Charday, your Opportunities Officer for ‘25/26! I’ll be working closely with our Student Groups/Societies and Sports Clubs to ensure everyone’s voices are heard. Having been a member of several societies and the Taekwondo and Karate Sports Club, I have become a part of these Communities and feel a sense of belonging. I want to ensure that all students have that same opportunity to find their place and make new friends during their time at UoP!

Who is Charday?

• BSc (Hons) Forensic Psychology Graduate

• MA (Hons) Digital Marketing Student

• I am one belt away from black in Karate (hoping to grade in 2026!)

• I, begrudgingly, can’t have gluten (coeliac), but despite not being able to eat gluten, I am a huge foodie and can eat anything, provided it’s gluten free, lol

• Card/board/video games are the best, and I will happily play them

• A hobby of mine is editing, media, and creating content :)

• I love boba; currently, I’m ordering dirty milk tea with brown sugar pearls on repeat!

• Pandas are my favourite animals/the cutest things alive
