Faculty Reps
What are Faculty Reps?
Faculty Reps act as the bridge between the Students' Union and Course Reps. They help amplify the student voice and ensure feedback from both Course Reps and students is communicated effectively to academic staff and the Union.
- Gather feedback from Course Reps and students to advocate for improvements within their Faculty, helping enhance the overall University experience.
- Report back to Course Reps and students on responses to the feedback provided.
- Represent students at Faculty and University-level meetings and contribute to key discussions on academic and student issues.
- Act as impartial representatives, ensuring they represent the views of all students within their Faculty and not just their own opinions.
- Complete and/or attend Essential Training, including attending Course Rep Conferences and other key events.
- Engage with the Union’s representation processes, such as the “Have Your Say” and StART platforms, where students can submit ideas to improve the student experience.
